P90X

I am currently doing the P90X program with my husband and I have been loving it. We are on week eight of the twelve week program. We always enjoy Tony Horton's silly comments and he seems to know when to encourage you to "bring it!". Tony is the brainchild of P90X and also the leader of the group, or the "band" as he calls it! To my surprise and delight I just found out that Tony Horton is a vegetarian. He is also in his fifties! What a STUD!!! This gives me so much joy! He is in such amazing shape and has done it without eating meat-now if he would just give up the dairy-I guess I can't expect that, but a girl can dream. If you don't know what P90X is, I encourage you to look into it, it might just give you the results you have been looking for.

  1. Wow, I didn't know Tony was veg! I've done some of the P90X videos too, and they're great.
    I'm glad you made that black-eyed pea-quinoa pizza! How'd it turn out?
    PS—I have a giveaway going on right now in my latest post, feel free to enter! :}

  2. I also didn't know that Tony was a vegetarian. I just purchased P90X and was on their message board and saw your post to another person where you posted your link. Unfortunately, one of the coaches cut the link, but what was amazing is that he gave a little clue to your blog. I am a vegetarian who just purchased the P90X program and I don't know where to begin. I have been doing research trying to find other individuals who are vegetarians too. I don't have a meal plan and although the nutrition plan is provided in the exercise package I have no clue where to start. On the post on beachbody you spoke about having a P90X vegatarian nutritional plan that the person could take a look at. Do you have it posted here? I totally need some help in this department because I don't know how to meet the demands of this program (sad face). Can you help? Please?

    Thank you

  3. I am glad you found me! I don't have a "meal plan" but I do show alot of the great food we are eating. i encourage you to get the book "Thrive" by Brendan Brazier. He has a 12 week vegan meal plan for athletes...I know you aren't vegan, but it could help alot with making sure you are getting all the right foods at the right time to encourage your body to lose weight and gain muscle. Keep me posted on your progress...I'm on week 11 and loving it!
